We're wrapping up the work and school week with continued cold weather on this first day of February. It will be cloudy and cold with highs only reaching the upper 20s. A weak area of low pressure sliding through Friday could bring flurries and light snow showers to the region. With the recent cold, any snow could make roads icy, so use caution. A dusting to an inch is possible with the highest totals (around 1") over Frederick and Washington Counties.

The weekend brings a nice change, if it's been too cold for your liking. Saturday highs will reach the mid to upper 40s, which is much closer to where temperatures should be this time of year. Sunday will be even milder with highs in the mid 50s! Both days will be dry with a mix of clouds and sun.

Early next week brings even milder air to the region with highs Monday in the upper 50s and mid 60s by Tuesday!
