Report: Former Redskins WR DeSean Jackson signs with Tampa Bay Bucs

Former Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday during the start of NFL free agency, according to ESPN.

Jackson, 30, spent three seasons with the Redskins and finished the 2016 season with 56 receptions, 1,005 yards and 4 touchdowns.

ABC7 News' Erin Hawksworth reports that according to a source, the Redskins offer to Jackson was $3 million per year lower than what the Buccaneers offered.

The former 2008 second-round pick has a career 498 receptions, 8,819 yards and 46 touchdowns, according to ESPN.

The signing of Jackson to the Buccaneers gives quarterback Jameis Winston a vertical threat he needs to pair with receiver Mike Evans.
