Toyota Team Player: Hannah Humphreys

Washington Pride goaltender Hannah Humphreys is one of the top goalies in her age group in the country and highly prized recruit. She will join the Dartmouth College Big Green in 2019.

Not every parent wants their daughter to play hockey, especially when it comes to the goalie position, but Washington pride goaltender Hannah Humphreys begged her parents to play and it has worked out quite well as the Bethesda Chevy Chase junior has become one of the best at her position in the country.

"When I was eight-years-old my brother went to the birthday party of a kid who played and we went to pick them up and iIsaw everyone playing hockey and I said I want to do that," said Hannah Humphreys.

But her parents were not as enthusiastic.

"My parents were like no, that's too dangerous," Humphreys said. "It took them another two years to convince them to finally let me play".

Her parents may have changed their tune now as Hannah is headed to Dartmouth on a full scholarship.

While Hannah could have played almost any position, she is a natural in goal and her coach couldn't be more proud.

"She is really one of the top goalies at her age group in the country and highly prized recruit," said Washington Pride head coach Kush Sidhu.

Congratulations Hannah Humphreys you are this week's Toyota Team Player.
