Toyota Team Player: DC United goalkeeper Steve Clark

DC United goalkeeper Steve Clark had a 32nd birthday to remember.

It was the type of weekend many athlete dreams of.

It was a special weekend. I think it is one I will always remember my 32nd birthday.

On his 32nd birthday, with friends and family in attendance, against his former club, DC United goalkeeper Steve Clark made two spectacular saves in a victory over Columbus Crew .

It was also United's first win of the season.

"It was nice to get three points," Steve Clark said. "I felt good in the game, I was able to do a lot with my feet to help the game."

The victory ended United's five-game losing streak to start the season.

"I think it is something we can build on how we want to win games and our system," said Clark.

A weekend Clark had dreamed about since he was in the third grade.

"I was in third grade and I just jumped into goal, I have been there ever since I feel like it was something that chose me," Clark explained.

Congratulations Steve Clark you are this week's Toyota Team Player.
