Andrew Mavis making noise for George Washington water polo program
Ever since he was a little boy, George Washington center Andrew Mavis new water polo was his sport.
"I started swimming when I was three, first practice when I was six I fell in love with it and haven't stopped since," said George Washington water polo star Andrew Mavis.
"My parents forced me my first two weeks it was tough then after that I couldn't drop the ball," Mavis said.
This past season was the Colonials best season yet.
GW earned its first-ever NCAA victory.
"It was really amazing I think the best part about it is we got one step further than we do after our first championship," said Mavis.
Mavis is a two-time honorable mention All-American and was named MVP of his conference in 2017.
Accomplishing his goals in the water and out of it.
"It is a place I find calm and ease to go do what I do best," he said.
