T.J. Oshie: Washington Capitals star and new face of the D.C. Metro?

That is what could happen if the Caps pull off the win of a life time and bring home the Stanley Cup. In addition to capturing hockey's ultimate prize, Metro has promised Oshie it will make a new SmarTrip card in his honor if Lord Stanley's Cup takes up residence in D.C.

Oshie has made as much noise with his public transportation escapades as he has with his puck proficiency during the Stanley Cup Final. Before playing a key role in Washington's 6-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, he was spotted in the Metro trying to refill his own SmarTrip card on his way to Capital One Arena.

Oshie, along with defenseman Matt Niskanen, also rode the Metro to Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday – an experience also captured on social media by onlookers.

Niskanen was with Oshie again on Monday, though it seems he didn't have the same fare issues.

Oshie scored the opening goal and added two assists in the Capitals' Game 4 victory.
