Local hockey coach has a big reason to cheer on U.S. women's hockey team

It’s the true meaning of "coaching with pride." There’s no doubt Washington Pride head coach Kush Sidhu has been glued to the television during the Winter Olympics.

That’s because one of his star players, Haley Skarupa, is a forward on this year's U.S. women’s hockey team.

But that might not have been possible if Sidhu didn’t relocate to Washington and start the region's first traveling program for girls hockey. Not only has he given girls from the area a chance to play Division I hockey, but he's also created potential gold medalists.
