Toddler dies in hot car weeks before birthday

He would have been 2 years old in just a few weeks. Now his family is planning his funeral.

Kayden St. Sauveur went missing from his home near Military Trail and Lake Ida Road in Delray Beach. His family called for help.

Police say the boy was found on the floor of the car, parked in the driveway. They believe the child found his way into an unlocked car himself and couldn't get back out.

Delray Beach Police believe it was an accident, however they continue to investigate.

Earlier this year, a Florida mom created an app to help prevent hot car deaths.
