Poll: Voters feel Trump administration more truthful than news media

WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) - A poll released Tuesday shows voters trust the Trump administration more than the news media.


Among other findings in the Emerson College poll: a split on his performance so far - though a majority of Republicans approve while Democrats disapprove. According to the poll, 49 percent of voters feel President Trump is truthful, with 48 percent feeling he is not; the news media is considered untruthful by 53 percent of voters, compared to 39 percent who feel the opposite.Trump's approval rating is split with 48 percent approving, and 47 percent disapproving. Republicans approve of his job at 89 percent, while Democrats disapprove at 81 percent.Independent voters disapprove of him 52 percent compared to an approval at 42 percent.
