Passengers moved to tears as they watch fallen soldier return home on flight

WASHINGTON (ABC7) - In a video posted to Facebook, tearful passengers watch as a fallen hero is released to his family below.

Lisa West Williams posted the video to her Facebook page on Tuesday, February 14 when she arrived in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The hero in the casket is Army Green Beret Shawn Thomas.

Thomas was stationed at Fort Bragg, but on deployment in Africa. He leaves behind his wife, and four children.

At the time of writing this, the video has been viewed over 5.4 million times.

ArmyTimes.com says Thomas, a Special Forces Warrant Officer, died from injuries he suffered in a vehicle accident while serving in Niger, Africa.
