WASHINGTON (SBG) - Rep. Elise Stefanik was removed from an advisory committee to Harvard University’s Institute of Politics two weeks ago, part of what Campus Reform reporter Jezzamine Wolk says is a larger trend of cancel culture on college campuses.

“Anyone who expressed a point of view that falls outside of the left, or supports Trump ends up facing this backlash, and this is something we specifically have seen from Harvard University,” said Jezzamine Wolk to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat Thursday morning. “Just a few months ago, students turned to the administration and demanded that they ban anyone who worked for Trump from speaking or teaching at the university again.”

Wolk says she is not surprised by Stefanik’s removal from Harvard’s advisory committee - but it’s part of a larger problem.

“The point of an advisory committee is to be able to bring different ideas to the table so that you can come to the best conclusion possible,” said Wolk. “How are you supposed to have any progression and innovation, without any pushback, without any challenge? Instead, you're just sitting in an echo chamber.”
