WASHINGTON (ABC7) — With Hurricane Michael making landfall Wednesday, several airline companies have issued travel advisories in addition to waiving fees for flights impacted or in Michael's path.
Here are the list of airlines that have waived fees and issued advisories as of Wednesday afternoon:
Allegiant Air will have flights that are impacted at eight airports in the following cities:
Customers may also call Allegiant Customer Care at 702-505-8888 at any time 24 hours per day, seven days a week for assistance.
American is waiving the change fee traveling to/from the following cities:
The change fee may be waived if you:
Changes must be booked by Oct. 14 and completed within one year of original ticket date.
Delta is waiving fees for flights originally scheduled for Oct. 9-11, 2018 to/from the following airports:
Tickets must be reissued on or before Oct. 14, 2018 and must be rebooked to travel no later than Oct. 14, 2018. Delta is also waiving all baggage and pet cabin fees for Fort Walton Beach, Mobile, Panama City, Pensacola and Tallahassee.
With the expected impact from Michael, Frontier has issued the following waivers for customers aimed for the following airports:
Customers who booked their flights between Oct. 9 and Oct. 11 before Monday, Oct. 8 will have their fees waived. Customers will have until Oct. 31, 2018 to complete their travel. Canceled flights may be eligible for a refund.
5. Jet Blue
Jet Blue will waive the change fees for customers traveling on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11 for the following cities:
Customers traveling to/from Tampa, Florida (TPA) on Wednesday, Oct. 10 will also have their change fees waived.
Only flights booked before or on Oct. 8 are eligible for the waivers. Customers will have until Oct. 13 to re-book their flight by either visiting their website or by calling 1-800-JETBLUE.
Southwest is projecting delayed, diverted and/or cancelled flights for the following cities:
Southwest is also waiving the $95 pet fare for customers traveling to/from Panama City, Pensacola and Tampa.
United Airlines will waive change and fare fees for flights at the following airports:
The original travel dates must fall between Oct. 9 and Oct. 11.
