Worker found dead in bucket truck in Alexandria

WASHINGTON (WJLA) — A man was found dead in a bucket truck in the 5700 block of General Washington Drive in Alexandria Wednesday, according to Fairfax County authorities.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue were called to the scene around 2:02 p.m. for a technical rescue. A worker was trapped “up high” in a bucket truck and was found dead.

Fairfax County Police are calling it a construction accident, and say major crimes and crime scene detectives are responding. Officers ask that people in the area use an alternate route.
