WASHINGTON (ABC7) -- WikiLeaks is offering a $20,000 reward "for information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich," the website announced on Twitter Tuesday.

On Sunday, July 10, the 27-year-old Rich was shot in the back while walking home in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Northwest D.C.

Rich's family says he was jumped and shot twice in the back after a struggle. He later died at the hospital.

The news of the reward offer comes less than a week after Rich's mother made a public plea for help finding his killer.

Rich worked on voting-related issues for the DNC. Weeks after Rich's death, the attack still remains a mystery.
