A widow whose husband was killed after being struck by a truck on a Maryland highway is attempting to raise awareness for drivers on road safety.

Rick Moser, 57, worked as a state highway worker and died while cleaning debris on the road.

His widow, Laurie Moser, told ABC7 News that a truck driver was not paying attention and veered over a safety line hitting her husband.

Laurie Moser and state officials spoke at a highway job site Thursday in Brandywine, Maryland. The goal was to convince drivers to be cautious on the roads and to be aware of workers on the highway.
