Water restored after main break floods 2 homes, impacts 30 residences, businesses in D.C.

Water has been restored Friday morning after an eight-inch water main break flooded two homes and impacted roughly 30 residences and businesses in Northwest Washington.

Fire officials say the water main break occurred on 9th and T Street, NW late Thursday night.

DC Water officials say have reopened in the 1900 block of 9th Street, NW between T Street and U Street, NW.

Repairs for the water main break were held for nearly 10 hours continuing into Friday morning.
