WASHINGTON (7News) — Pedestrians and cyclists can now enjoy a new tunnel through the I-66 bridge, according to the National Mall National Park Services.
National Mall NPS announced on Twitter Wednesday that the tunnel is open along the Potomac River by the Kennedy Center.

This new tunnel will help improve safety and access to the trail.
Work continues for trail connections and grassy areas, according to officials.
