Politicians and gun control advocates will gather at Capitol Hill Tuesday in a push for stronger gun laws.

New Jersey and Florida lawmakers will reintroduce a proposal that would ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

Volunteers will handout postcards to lawmakers to bring awareness to the issue. Bags were packed with postcards that will be distributed. Roughly 720,000 postcards have been signed by individuals across the country calling for stricter background checks and gun control.

The new push for stricter gun legislation follows a rally held Monday night calling for an end to gun violence.

Martin Luther King III was among several celebrities who gathered for the "End Gun Violence Together" rally at Union Market.
