Truck driver dies after getting electrocuted by power lines in Fairfax County, police say

A truck driver is dead after being electrocuted by power lines Thursday morning in Fairfax County, according to authorities.

Fairfax County police said officers and medics were called to the area of Mordor Drive and Furnace Road in Lorton around 6 a.m. where they found 47-year-old Bobby Blevins Jr. unconscious. Officers said that while medical personnel looked over Blevins, they saw that the metal arm on the extended cover of his truck was touching the power lines.

Blevins was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation.
