ARLINGTON, Va. (ABC7) — UPDATE: I-66 has re-opened after a tree went down earlier this morning, VDOT confirms.

As if the rainy commute wasn't bad enough, VDOT of Northern Virginia is now reporting a downed tree on I-66 Thursday morning.

Officials say the tree is down on I-66 eastbound causing major delays during the typical morning commute.
