Students at McLean High School held a walkout Thursday morning as they call for more gun control in the wake of the Florida shooting.

The students left their classes around 9:45 a.m. to show "civil disobedience" and "utter discontent" because of gun laws in the United States.

"We are tired of going to school afraid that we are next," junior student Neha Rana said in a statement. "Our generation is going to be the generation that will make a change by reforming our current gun laws."

Many students wore black and close to 100 of them rallied on the school's football field.
