Sketch of Bladensburg sex assault assailant released

BLADENSBURG, Md. (WJLA) – Prince George’s County Police released a composite sketch Friday of a man wanted for sexually assaulting a woman on Monday evening, and are seeking the public’s help identifying him.

Police say around 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 8, the attacker sexually assaulted the woman as she walked along a wooded trail on Quincy Street, not far from Bladensburg Elementary School.

The assailant is described as a black male who is approximately 40 to 50 years old and 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-10-inches tall. He has a slim build, black and gray facial hair, and was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball cap.

Neighbors told ABC 7 News the victim was just 20 years old and was so traumatized by what happened that she has moved out of the neighborhood. Several residents also claimed the man in the composite sketch looked familiar and that they may have seen him in the area.
