Utah Marine killed in action in Kabul blast laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery

WASHINGTON (SBG) — U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant Darin Taylor Hoover of Salt Lake City, Utah, who was killed during the devastating blast at the Kabul Airport in Afghanistan on Aug. 26, was laid to rest at the Arlington National Cemetery Friday.

Before the burial, a funeral service took place at the Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, Va.

Following the funeral service, a procession took place through Fairfax County to the Arlington National Cemetery. A replay of the process can be watched by clicking here.

The procession ended around 12 pm ET, and a heartwarming burial service followed at the Arlington National Cemetery, where family and friends said their final goodbyes.

SSGT Hoover is one of 13 U.S. troops killed during the blast.

A longer procession also took place Monday, starting at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, passing through Maryland, before reaching their final destination in Arlington, Va. at the Murphy Funeral Home around 1 p.m. ET. Watch the replay of the procession above.
