Rough weather leaves sand dunes on Ocean City Boardwalk ahead of Florence
OCEAN CITY, Md. (ABC7) —
The stormy weather plaguing the DMV left sand dunes on the Ocean City Boardwalk as the area prepares for the potential impact from Hurricane Florence.
On Monday, the Ocean City Fire Department posted pictures on their Facebook page of sand dunes that had piled up on the Boardwalk near the beach. Fire officials also said the surf was rough in the area and cautioned those planning to visit the Boardwalk.
The entire state of Maryland was under a Flood Warning Sunday. Hurricane Florence strengthened to a Category 4 storm on Monday and could potentially impact the D.C., Maryland and Virginia areas as early as Thursday.
