Report: 7 members of Mount Rainier PD placed on paid leave amid investigation
MOUNT RAINIER, Md. (ABC7) —
A police investigation is underway in Mount Rainier Monday evening.
According to ABC7's Maryland Bureau Chief Brad Bell, seven members of the department's 20 employees are currently on paid leave after the mayor and town council discovered an issue.
Police operations are going on as normal, but the administrative office is closed at this time.
An acting police chief has also been put in place.
