Flood warnings have been issued in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, including Rockville, Silver Spring, Fairfax County, Arlington County, Falls Church and Alexandria.

A powerful cold front slid through while you were sleeping and will bring us an unseasonably cool and breezy start to the work week. Rain is most likely through the morning hours with only a slight chance of a lingering shower through the afternoon. Keep the jacket handy with temperatures today only in the 50s. Skies will gradually clear overnight with lows falling into the 30s.

Tomorrow will be unseasonably cool with highs only topping out in the upper 40s to low 50s. Our average high this time of year is now 66°. It will also be breezy, so keep the jacket handy.

Temperatures climb closer to average Wednesday and Thursday with highs back into the mid 60s. A weak weather maker will slide through late Wednesday night into Thursday morning bringing a slight chance for a passing shower.

An early look at next weekend is trending dry and just a touch below average with highs in the low to mid 60s.
