Police trying to identify homicide victim found dead in street in Fairfax County

Investigators released a photo of a hoodie worn by the man found dead early Wednesday morning in Centreville, Virginia. The black sweatshirt has a cobra and skull design with words on the front.

The victim had trauma to his body and police say they're working to determine a cause of trauma. Fairfax County Police say he is nearly 5-foot-8.

Detectives and the medical examiner on scene were initially investigating a "suspicious death" before determining it was a homicide.


The man was found a little after 5 a.m. in the 13000 block of Jeb Stuart Square, police said.

An investigation is now underway and authorities are searching for witnesses.
