Police identify victims in Seat Pleasant crash that killed 3
SEAT PLEASANT, Md. (ABC7) —
Police have identified the victims in Sunday morning’s deadly single-vehicle crash in Seat Pleasant.
Prince George’s County police said Monday that Grecia Sanchez Cruz, 23, of Lanham and Brenda Merlot, 25, of Lanham were among the three killed in the crash. The third deceased victim will have his name released once his family is located and notified.
According to police, the car was approaching Glen Willow Drive as it traveled southbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway around 3:55 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
All three victims killed in the crash were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth occupant in the car was transported to a hospital after suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary, police said it does not appear that any of the occupants were wearing a seat belt.
