Police ask for help finding couple in possible 'suspicious' incident involving kids in Va.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WJLA) - Police are asking for the public's help identifying a couple believed to be involved in a suspicious incident involving children in Loudoun County.
According to police, the following took place on Friday, Oct. 6:
"A resident reported on October 6 she was approached around 11:16 a.m. by a female that asked multiple times about her children. The female suspect followed her as she walked to sit down to feed her child and asked the name of the children and if she needed a nanny. The female suspect attempted to reach out towards the complainant’s son but the complainant stopped her.
"During the encounter, the female would walk back and forth towards a white male who was across the park. The two were never seen conversing but the complainant believed they were together."
Then on Monday, police say a second similar incident took place:
"A second incident was reported on October 9 around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Oglethorpe Court. A resident reported that he and his son were fishing at a pond in the area when the son, who was on the opposite side of the pond, observed a suspicious vehicle traveling in the area. The son then overheard a conversation in the vehicle from a female passenger. The female asked the driver a question, possibly in reference to the son. The son looked at his father and the dad told his son to come to him. At the same time the vehicle left the area."
Police say in both incidents the woman was described as possibly being Hispanic or white, with dark hair. In the Oct. 6 incident, she was described as "heavy set and in her 40's to mid-50's."
A further description was also given by Loudon County police:
"At the time of the encounter her hair was pushed back and she was wearing a white tank top and black mid-length yoga pants. The male subject was described in both incidents as a white male in his 50’s. He was further described in the October 6 incident as being bald and was wearing gray shorts, flip flops and had tattoos on the right upper arm. The vehicle in the October 9 case was described as being gold in color and possibly a mid-1990’s Nissan Sentra or Toyota Celica."
