Police make arrest in 14-year-old cold case of murdered DC woman
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
Authorities say they arrested a suspect Thursday in the 14-year-old murder of a D.C. woman.
In 2004, D.C. Police say 23-year-old Kendra Smith of Southeast D.C. was found shot inside a vehicle on September 6. Officers say she was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died the next day.
On Thursday, police say the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 47-year-old Tony Aiken, also of Southeast, D.C., and charged him with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
