MANASSAS, Va. (ABC7) — A 63-year-old woman from overseas was sexually assaulted in her hotel room early Thursday morning, the Prince William County Police Dept. reports.
The victim told police she was sleeping at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in the 10800 block of Vandor Ln. in Manassas at around 6:30 a.m., when she woke up to an unknown man inappropriately touching her. When the woman screamed, she says, the suspect fled the room.
No injuries were reported and there were no signs of forced entry into the victim's room, according to police.
Police describe the suspect as follows:
"White, Hispanic, or Middle-Eastern male, between 30 & 40 years of age, 5’9”-5’10”, regular build, with short black or dark brown crew-cut hair, closely shaven beard, and arched eyebrows
Last seen wearing a shirt, unknown color, blue shorts, and a dark colored watch."
Friday Prince William County police issued a composite sketch of the suspect. It's based on the woman's recollection of the man she saw in her hotel room.
The hotel notified guests Friday by slipping a paper detailing the incident and containing the sketch of the suspect under their doors.
