Plea deal reached for teen accused of bringing loaded gun, knife to Clarksburg HS in Md.
ROCKVILLE, Md. (WJLA) - Authorities in Montgomery County have announced that they have reached a plea deal in the Alwin Chen case.

Chen is the 17-year-old Clarksburg High School student accused of bringing a loaded handgun to class one day after the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
Chen’s plea hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m., April 24th at Montgomery County Circuit Court in Rockville.
The charge of bringing a handgun on his person on school property carries a penalty of 90 days up to three years in prison. Under the Maryland sentencing guidelines, his sentence is calculated to be between probation to two years in prison.
