It's a big day for baseball lovers. Today is opening day at Nationals Park and fans are ready to root, root, root for the home team.

The Nats take on the Miami Marlins in the team's home opener today at 1:05 p.m.

Die-hard fans lined up at the stadium for same-day tickets as early as 6 a.m.

Even though the first pitch won't happen until 1 p.m., fans are enjoying the day at the stadium.

Some fans were rewarded for their dedication with home-team hats.
