Pedestrian struck and killed on Arlington Memorial Bridge, police say

A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle on the Arlington Memorial Bridge Saturday morning, according to authorities.

U.S. Park Police say the 47-year-old pedestrian was hit just before 7:30 a.m. The vehicle that hit them stayed at the scene.

Police had closed lanes on the bridge in both directions as they investigated the incident. The bridge has since reopened.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the accident to call Park Police at 202-610-7500.
