WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Between 2011 and 2017 overtime pay for DC government employees more than doubled, according to a recent audit.
The auditor's report says overtime is soaring, especially in the departments of police, fire, and corrections.
The city paid $40 million in overtime in 2011. By 2017 that was up to $108 million, an increase of 167 percent.
