1 dead after overnight house fire in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va (ABC7) — One home occupant is dead after a fire apparently engulfed a Vienna, Va. home overnight, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

Authorities said they were dispatched to the 900 block of Lauren Lane, SE, in the town of Vienna just after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Firefighters reportedly arrived on the scene and observed a fire burning through the roof of the home and then found a home occupant deceased inside, along with two deceased cats.
