Multiple vehicles were damaged Sunday morning in a car fire in the parking garage of an apartment building in Bethesda, according to authorities.

The Montgomery County Fire Department says the fire was in the lowest level of an under ground garage in the Bainbridge Bethesda apartment complex at 4918 St. Elmo Avenue near Norfolk Avenue and started at around 7:15 a.m.

Officials say the fire is now out and no one was injured in the blaze but that it did cause around $20,000 worth of damage to the vehicles and filled the garage with heavy smoke.

They also say that 11 sprinklers went off, helping to prevent the fire from spreading and causing more damage.

Authorities say the cause of the fire was accidental
