Boy, 14, in critical condition after 'near drowning' at Six Flags in P.G. County

A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after a "near drowning" Wednesday at Six Flags America in Largo, Maryland, according to fire officials.

The boy was rescued from a wave pool and transported to an area hospital.

He was initially treated at the scene by Six Flags park officials and Prince George's County Fire paramedics, according to Six Flags.

Six Flags adds"The safety of our guests is always our highest priority."
