RESTON, Va. (7News) — 7News is celebrating Nurses Week and is highlighting the men and women who care for the community every day.
Health and Wellness Reporter Victoria Sanchez stopped by Reston Hospital Center and spoke with one of the newest and one of the most senior registered nurses at the hospital.
The hospital is a Level II trauma center, Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and has capabilities for spine, bariatric and orthopedic surgeries including robotic tools. But the heart of the hospital is the nursing staff.

Even with the shortage of RNs across the country, meaning more patients and more work, emergency room Nurse Tori Glaze said the nurses around her at the hospital are her support. She graduated during the pandemic and cannot see herself doing anything else.
“It’s hard to find words. It’s the most amazing, satisfying, amazing experience to be able to have this kind of impact on someone’s life," she said.
