WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Montgomery County students protested gun violence and called for gun control outside of the U.S. Capitol after they walked out of class Thursday.
And they were joined by students from schools around the DC area.
The walkout comes on the one-year anniversary of the national walkout held last year to honor the victims of a mass shooting that left 17 dead at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Feb. 14, 2018.
