ROCKVILLE, Md. (7News) — Students at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville staged a walkout Friday morning to take a stand against gun violence. Friday is also National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
Several students gathered outside the school, some holding signs and giving speeches.
"This building should not be a battleground, a grocery store should not turn into a warzone," one of the speakers said to the crowd of students. "Do you agree with that?" she asked as the crowd cheered her on.
