WASHINGTON (7News) — Memorial Day is just around the corner. Each May, we honor our nation's fallen soldiers on the holiday -- this year, it falls on Monday, May 29.
Many businesses, government offices and schools will be closed on the holiday but if you're looking to know what grocery stores or fast-food restaurants are open, here is a list.
What will be closed?
- Federal courts and government offices
- United States Postal Service (post offices)
- FedEx offices will have modified hours
- UPS store locations
- Some local banks may be closed but will have outdoor ATMs for use
- Schools
- Department of Motor Vehicles

- Chain drug stores: CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid

- Coffee: Starbucks and Dunkin
- Fast food places like: Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Subway, Chipotle, Pizza Hut
