Local bike community calls for change after cyclist struck, killed by truck in D.C.
WASHINGTON (WJLA) —
A local bike community is calling for change after a cyclist was hit and killed by a truck over the weekend in Northwest Washington.
Members of the DC bike community tell ABC7 News they have complained about the intersection where 36-year-old Jeffrey Long was run over.
Long was in the bike lane when he was struck by a vehicle in the bike lane along M Street.
Now the bike community is calling for the city officials to make changes.
