During the pandemic, Meals on Wheels in College Park have been feeding double the number of people they normally do

This work is their passion.

They began in 1974 and since that time, they have served thousands of local residents. As of July 22, they provide three meals a day, five days a week for 150 senior neighbors and those with disabilities.

This pandemic has made everything harder for everyone--but despite these obstacles, they are proud to say they haven’t stopped working.

Due to the pandemic, they can’t provide as much interaction as they usually do. Many of the clients are housebound, and the non-profit volunteers are the only people they see for long periods of time.
