Md. governor announces Elon Musk's The Boring Company to begin tunnel from Baltimore to DC

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced on Friday that a "hyperloop" tunnel from Baltimore to D.C. will begin construction.

The underground tunnel will connect the two cities and the rapid transportation technology will be built by The Boring Company which was founded by Elon Musk the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla.

On Friday, the governor toured the initial digging site in Anne Arundel County.

"The Boring Company would like to thank Maryland, Washington D.C., and the White House Office of American Innovation for their support," a spokesperson for The Boring Company said.
