Police rescued two people from a massive house fire early Tuesday morning in Colesville, Maryland.

Montgomery County Fire officials say there were no injuries, and reported everyone inside the home was accounted for.

Several people in the home were assisted by a police patrol sergeant and an off-duty Montgomery County Fire lieutenant heading to work.

Seventy-five firefighters responded to the scene and it was later determined that the fire was accidental. Officials say two adults were displaced.

Firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions when they arrived to the scene, but they were able to control the blaze.

Southbound lanes at New Hampshire Avenue were blocked at Wolf Drive north of Randolph Road during the incident.

The blaze resulted in $400,000 worth of damages to the home. Officials say the fire occurred at 8 Stanley Lane.
