Maryland State Police is looking for a man who is suspected in a Christmas murder in Talbot County.

A warrant for first-degree murder was issued for 31-year-old Mauricio Ibarra Juarez of Winchester, Virginia. Juarez is suspected in the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Marta Merina of Trappe, Maryland. Merina was found with a gunshot wound early Christmas morning after police responded to the 2900 block of Howell Point Road around 6:15 a.m. for an apparent shooting. She was found wounded outside her home.

She was pronounced dead on the scene. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators believe Juarez knew Merina before the shooting. He may be traveling in a white GMC Sierra truck.

"Do not approach him, as he should be considered armed and dangerous," Maryland State Police said in a press release.
