WASHINGTON (ABC7) — A 24-year-old Maryland man was killed in a shooting in northeast Washington Friday night, police said.

Charles Newell from Waldorf was found by Metropolitan Police in the 4600 block of Hunt Place, NE with multiple gunshot wounds.

Newell was transported to an area hospital where he later died, police said.
