A Ft. Washington man died after suffering an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow at his home Saturday morning, according to Mark Brady, a spokesperson for the Prince George's Fire Department.

Around 8:30 a.m. firefighters and medics found the man in cardiac arrest on the 1200 block of Sandy Bar Drive. Brady said at approximately 10:30 a.m. the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME-MD) confirmed that the unidentified man's death was "storm related." The man's identity was withheld by the fire and EMS department because the organization does not release the names of medical patient fatalities.

According to Brady, the reported death came moments after the fire department reissued warnings about the dangers of shoveling snow and heart attacks.
