LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, Md. (ABC7) — Police said a man was killed early Saturday morning after his car crashed into a parked shuttle bus.
The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Investigators believe the victim was driving southbound on West Nursery Road near Elkridge Landing Road in Linthicum Heights around 2:05 a.m. when it swerved to the right and struck a LaQuinta hotel shuttle bus parked on the shoulder. The crash caused both vehicles to catch on fire, police said.
According to police, the victim was taken by the medical examiner to Baltimore for an autopsy. No other people were involved in the accident.
Police said the primary cause of the crash was the driver failing to remain in a single lane. It has not been determined if alcohol was a contributing factor.
